It is no surprise. We regularly endure hearing that there are "significant" reasons why Church Leaders and their congregations won't involve themselves with the Recovery Community. Recovery Community Meetings are a banquet - to serve the Word of Truth, feed the Milk of the Gospel and comfort people in pain. "But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind..."
In self-righteous condemning tones they say “Cut them loose, let them suffer in sin until they come to their senses,” “maybe they weren’t saved in the first place” and “don’t cast your pearls before swine.”
Really? That's the proper church treatment of wandering sheep?
