Spiritual Treason?

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Asked for my definition of Treason, I fumbled for a moment. Upon consideration, I offered this notion. The context was Political. So beginning there…

Treason is action (or inaction!!) that results in the desecration of an Allegiance.

“Action or inaction to desecrate and subvert an Allegiance.”

US Citizens speak our allegiance by making a vow – by “Taking the Pledge.” Political Treason is when one forsakes, then aids and abets the undermining our collective political inheritance (as handed down to us in the Preamble to the US Constitution.)

“But: What do you expect of politicians!?”

Remember the Pledge of Allegiance? A brief history found here:

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower and Congress to added the words “under God.”

What then is Godlessness? Or! Put plainly:

What is “Spiritual Treason?”

(Be very careful with your answer – it may attach itself to you forever.) Isn’t Spiritual Treason the highest form of treason?

“You turn things upside down…”

See Is. 29:13-16

That’s my example? Yes. Which has been much abused by false teachers recently… (not many will bother to look it up to read the full context … having seen it here, even if they read this far…)

“…who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?” You turn things upside down…”

Is. 29 13-16

Who’s inverting the message of God to serve their selfish agenda?

What was I writing about? Action and inaction. Speak up friends. We will be measured by both.
