“…above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” Ephesians 6:16

The Shield of Faith
The Shield of Faith being used by a Knight in battle to avoid enemy darts. Ephesians 6:16

Facing the direction of the Assault:

Plant Shield firmly in front of you.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” PSALM 91

Tuck in behind.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. PROVERBS 3:5-6

Kneel, make yourself small.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

Bow head.

Straighten and stiffen your back.

Pull down hard on the shield, do not move.

Firmly grasp sword.

Rest, recover. Breathe evenly.

Sing a battle song of life and love!

Wait patiently, as the enemy expends every dart.

Shout your King the Glory!
