Sophism: Invalid arguments on PBS “Genius” Program

designs a sophisticated metaphor for evolution to conclude evolution doesn’t require intelligent design. Enjoyed that one.

noun soph·ism \ˈsä-ˌfi-zəm\
Definition: an argument apparently correct in form but actually invalid; especially :  such an argument used to deceive.

If an atheist is blind to the illogical nature of an argument they make are they being deceptive? Or just ignorant?

Think of it like this:

I’m a “Genius.”

Therefore I can design a short, sophisticated, metaphorical demonstration showing that evolution doesn’t require an intelligent designer.

Yet, evolution is infinitely more complex and lengthy than my “Genius” demonstration.

Therefore it is at least possible (even probable) that evolution has an intelligent designer (“Genius”) as well.
