Saved by Grace alone

“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ ”  John 3:5-7

Saving grace is a gift.

” We are saved by grace … the free gift of God…”  Ephesians 2:8.  By simply accepting it, receiving the offered gift “The Peace that passes all understanding” — an internal transformation (literally: spiritual rebirth) courtesy of Jesus Christ awaits.  True deliverance.  A free gift of God, given through His Grace.  Wholly undeserved.

But in order to enjoy the gift, one must “receive it.”  Salvation is to receive Jesus as Lord in life — replacing the Lordship (and slavery) of our self-serving and evil desires.

The price?  Persistent penitent communion with Him, accepting His gift of grace with a willing heart.  After?  The outward effects are fruits of the Holy Spirit.  No works by man can count for righteousness.  We present the important truth that AA / AlAnon (etc.) can’t.

This is the “Good News!”   Jesus came and lived as a man.  He died, he rose from death as promised and still lives.  His work repaired the broken bridge to our Father in heaven.  Believe!

“Repent for the Kingdom of God is near” Mat. 4:17.

Want to understand what a ” Prayer of Penitence” is?  See Romans Chapter 10 (specifically verse 9)

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Ro. 10:9-10
