About

LetgoletGod.org is an outreach project of a small group of authentic Christians having a common experience in what is otherwise known as “recovery.”  (Though we prefer the term ‘re-creation.’)

Online since 2002.

We are commonly (sometimes former) secular 12-Step program veterans. Now we affiliate as like-minded believers working together for the Kingdom of God wherever we may individually live.

We organize around these elements:

“Whom Christ sets free, is free indeed!”
  • Bible-based
  • Denominationally unaffiliated
  • Independently financed (we do not solicit, nor accept donations)
  • Strictly a-political
  • We highly value your privacy – and ours – as a sacred trust.

We are blessed to talk and pray with anyone seeking freedom.  We will witness to real hope as we have experienced it.  Truth and wisdom waits for anyone who will put themselves aside to follow Christ.

“The main things are the plain things and the plain things are the main things.” Alistair Begg Truthforlife.org

Within our fellowship we struggle with afflictions and compulsions that are surprisingly common in this age. We also find a common purpose: renewal in the Spirit, through Jesus Christ.

We trust that God will take care of the rest.

If asked privately we might admit that there is really only ‘one step’ to take and that is to accept the free gift of saving Grace offered by God through Jesus Christ.

And to be honest, we are little interested in ‘recovering’ the life we had; instead we are ‘new creations in Christ.’ So, having been re-created in Him, we live differently. This change emerges from the inside – our part is to believe.

Even so, we hold deep respect for, and sometimes remain active in 12-step programs, secular and faith-based alike.
